Places to Visit
There is lots to do in the Cricklade area here are a few ideas of places you might like to visit. You can find out what's on in the Town Council Information Centre at Ockwells 113 High Street Cricklade.
Cricklade North Meadow - A National Nature Reserve with SSSI status. Our famous meadow is home to 80% of the uk population of Snake's Head Fritillaries which flower in April but the meadow is an interesting walk at any time of year.
Blakehill Nature Reserve - Managed by the Wiltshire Wildlife Trust on the site of the wartime Blakehill airfield a couple of miles from Cricklade on the road to Malmesbury.
Cricklade Museum - Located at 16 Calcutt Street and run by the Cricklade Historical Society well worth a visit.
Cricklade Leisure Centre - Great for a swim or some exercise in the gym or just relax in the bar.
Swindon and Cricklade Railway - The place to go for a trip on a steam train.
Cotswold Water Park - Just north of Cricklade 140 lakes with many activites from sailing and water skiing to birdwatching and golf!
